Today early in the morning something funny happened! :D
I was in the train going to school with Clare and Michelle.

Den I keep telling them about my japan trip and how excited I was,
den suddenly talking about Jap words and everything.
den suddenly,
Clare said: 'Hey hey, you know pork rice in jap is called Kaninabe?!'
Me and Michelle: 'HUH?!' (because we were thinking about the hokkien knn)
Clare: Yeah, its called KANINABE! ( saying it kind of loud)
Den this old guy suddenly was staring at Clare!
We paid no notice about it and continue laughing and talking about other things.

den suddenly when we were about to alight at City Hall interchange,
the guy suddenly turn to us and say 'Do you know that your father and your grandfather had a hard time?'
I was like 'HUH?!' cos he was obviously talking about the Hokkien version.
Kept laughing because Clare and mich was also laughing,
mind you, in front of him also!
Den suddenly he talked about our Grandfathers building Spore?!
like WTH! Preech early in the morning?
I hate ppl who like to give you comments when its not even what we were talking about!
& HE WAS EAVESDROPPING on our conve! & still even dare to say us?!
Stupid old man....
Plus preach on wrong stuff because we were not even talking about THAT kani nabe!

So I went home and did an online search to prove my innocence.
I realise that Kani Nabe is not pork rice but actually crab seafood?

Kani/Kurabu = Crab
Nabe = Hotpot, Soup

So Kaninabe put together is Crab Hotpot.
So there is really a dish in Japan called Kaninabe.
